Builds self-hosted agent systems and writes about persistent memory, task coordination and the path from an early experiment to the Sanctum stack.
Why read Mark Rizzn Hopkins?
Hopkins's account of Zero One is useful for understanding the practical problems behind a multi-agent system. He describes designing memory, messaging and task boards in 2023, then explains why the project proved difficult to operate alone. The story makes the engineering constraints visible.
His Sanctum essay follows what happened next. It maps those requirements onto a working stack built around Letta, a communications layer and tools. Read the two pieces together for his approach to continuity: keeping an agent's work and memory available across sessions and model providers.
