Coauthor of PLONK and plookup, two research works about constructing and checking cryptographic proofs. His work is a route into the engineering behind programmable privacy.
Why read Zac Williamson?
Read Zac when you want to connect a privacy project's language to the proof system underneath it. Start with the PLONK abstract: the coauthored construction uses an updatable setup that can serve different circuits, and addresses the cost of producing a proof. It gives you two concrete questions to carry into further reading: what setup is required, and who bears the proving work?
The plookup abstract narrows the problem to checking whether many values belong to an allowed table. It names range checks as one application, such as proving that values stay within a permitted interval. The papers are a technical route for readers with cryptographic preparation. Zac's connection to Aztec provides project context; the papers' claims should be read within their stated constructions.
